Summary
Welcomes customers, answers their questions, helps them locate items, and provides advice or recommendations. Operates scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics. Balances the cash register and generates reports for credit and debit sales. Accepts payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer. Processing refunds and exchanges, resolves complaints. Bags or wraps purchases to ensure safe transport. Follows all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items. Maintains a clean workspace. Responsible for counting the contents of cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining receipts, records, and withdrawals. May be responsible for checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low.

- Ability to successfully complete Class C Certification and know what to do in case of fuel spills at your location

- Provides excellent customer service to patrons within the store.
- Receives cash or checks or completes credit-card charge transactions.
- Counts money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received and counts back correct change with accuracy.
- Responsible for store cleanliness and maintains store appearance and product representation to company standards.
- Ensures customer’s needs are met, resolve complaints, and customer service is the focus of each employee.
- Receives cash or checks or completes credit card transactions per operating policy.
- Responsible for restocking shelves and coolers.
- Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the store during working shift.
- Verify ID on lottery ticket sales and track lottery ticket sales in compliance with state law.
- Fill gas tanks for customers upon request.
- Work is regularly checked since errors may cause delay or expense.

SUMMARY
Supports the store manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store and its employees. Perform the managerial duties as required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the daily operations. Also assists in the management of a retail store that is engaged in the selling of gasoline, liquor, cigarettes and groceries.
- Ability to successfully complete Class C Certification and know what to do in case of fuel spills at your location
- Participates in preparation and execution of inventories.
- Trains or supervises the training of all new employees (openers or closers), follows up retraining if necessary and all documentation.
- Coaches and mentors under-performing staff to improve their skills and reports all personnel issues to the Store Manager immediately for follow up.
- Receives cash or check or completes credit card charge transactions per operating policy.
- Orders merchandise or prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand.
- Assists with sales promotions activities, the pricing and notification to all employees of such activities.
- Assures that all employees are verifying the ID of any person(s) under the age of 30 prior to the purchase of tobacco and/or alcohol sales.
- Responsible for store cleanliness and maintains store appearance and product representation to company standards.
- Ensures customer’s needs are met, resolve complaints, and customer service is the focus of each employee.
